Review: Things heat up for Lorna as she very nearly blows her cover.

The Story

Stuff gets tricky for Lorna as she uncovers the Inner Circle’s plans to take down the US Government with a series of attacks on The Pentagon and The White House as well as other key targets.

Back at the Mutant Underground. John is fuming over the casualties from The Inner Circle attack. While Lauren is doing all she can to fend off the combined attacks from Andy and the Frost sisters, but Reed thinks that Lauren’s connection to the Music Box they were given could also be causing problems.

Back at the Morlock base Glow has been injured after an attack from The Purifiers and Blink has to call in Caitlin to help save Glow’s life, but Erg is not happy about it.

The Acting

We get some great performances this week from Stephen Moyer and Natalie Alyn Lind as Reed and Lauren. The scene where Reed talks Lauren out of leaving is really strong and well acted.

Also really good this week was Jamie Chung who as Blink has to make the difficult call of bringing Caitlin into the Morlock Camp and defy Erg’s wishes.

Overall

A really strong outing for the series, which furthers the story and provides great character moments for several of the key characters.

I enjoyed the whole sequence where Reed and John track Lauren down and the scenes where the Frost sisters are working with Andy to try and Lure Lauren over to the Inner Circle worked really well.
