Synopsis: When a mysterious tunnelling vehicle leaves a worker trapped in its wake, the team soon discover an old foe at the controls.
Review: When Lady Penelope and Parker discover a massive hole in the ground and hear a voice crying out for help. The Thunderbirds are called in to save the mans life while Lady P and Parker take Fab One into the tunnel to learn who or what has created it.
After some investigation the team confirms their suspicion that the tunnel was made by the Mechanic, but when it becomes apparent that he is executing a prison break to get the hood out. All hell breaks loose.
The tension of this episode is fantastic as the half the team races against time to rescue the worker while Parker and Lady P delay the Mechanic as best they can.
Ultimately the Hood gets away, but not before betraying the Mechanic.
To sum up ‘Thunderbirds Are Go’ has just gotten a lot more interesting now that the Hood is on the loose again, but that isn’t to say that it hasn’t been doing good without him. The Mechanic was an interesting villain and it be good to see him return.
As far as models and effects go. This series continues to go from strength to strength. I really enjoyed the chase between Fab One and the Mechanic and the rescue of the worker was worked well into the overall plot of the episode.
