Synopsis: A scientist occidentally locks herself inside a high-tech vault which is being used to store unstable matter. There is only one person who has successfully broken into a vault like this – Parker.
Review: Parker gets a rare moment to shine in this episode, which brings to light some of the chauffeurs shady past, which gets put to good use in a rescue.
When Alice Logan a scientist gets trapped inside a vault the Global Defence Force call upon the talents of Parker in order to help them break in and get Alice out before the safe implodes in a giant matter implosion.
When the GDF ask for Parkers help his boss Lady Penelope is a little shocked with regards to the fact that Parker is the only person to have ever cracked the vault.
Parker’s approach to the vault is very low-tech and involves a combination of things, which include his favourite chewing gum, which they don’t make any more.
As time gets away from them Virgil and Scott are called in to lend a hand in Thunderbird 2. For their part of the rescue they have to cut a hole in the roof of the complex and lift the vault out of the building and take it somewhere safer for it to implode. Once they have Lady Penelope, Parker and Alice back of course.
This for me was one of the most enjoyable episodes of the series.
It was great to see Parker get his moment and Virgil, Scott and Lady Penelope did pretty well as the supporting players in this.
The model work and graphics stuff was fantastic and I especially enjoyed some of the low-tech ways that Parker was using in order to fool the clever vault.
