Synopsis: With the reemergence of Dr. Light, the old Titans reluctantly return to Titans Tower to strategize against their old enemy.
Review: This week’s episode sees the fun and games begin as Deathstroke and Dr. Light begin to formulate plans and schemes for revenge.
Picking up from last week. Hawk, Dove, and Wonder Girl have returned to Titans Tower to find out that Dick and his younger charges have taken in Rose, who we have just learned is Deathstroke’s daughter. Hawk and Dove are not to sure about Dicks new approach and feel that he is playing with fire by looking out for rose. They fear the very real possibility that Deathstroke will come for her, and they may not be as lucky this time having barely defeated him the last time. Meanwhile a training incident sees Raven struggle to contain the darker powers that live inside her as she very nearly kills Jason Todd.
Elsewhere Kori has been abducted by a member of her planets Royal Guard who just so happens to be an old flame.
Meanwhile, Deathstroke is making plans with Dr. Light and plans are underway to break up the Titans once and for all by attempting to find their weakest link.
Chelsea Zhang continues to impress as Rose and has a really nice scene with Teagan Croft as Raven and Rose begin to bond about feeling like outsiders. We also get a nice little training scene with Rose and Dick who is attempting to show her the value of a defensive fighting style.
Esai Morales is sort of okay as Deathstroke thus far. To be honest. We have not seen enough of him yet to judge, but I don’t think he is going to be as convincing as Manu Bennett was when he played the role in ‘Arrow’.
This was a pretty solid outing for the show, which seems to be giving us a slightly faster paced storyline this year as we get to see two nice action set pieces, which see Wonder Girl get to use her powers, but also sees Jason Todd go a little overboard as he proves himself to be a weak link in the Titans team.
We get left with another cliffhanger, which is very well could go either way at this point for the Titans given that every member of the team seems to have some sort of drama going on.
