‘Jurassic World’ has obliterated box office records with an opening weekend by taking $511.8m worldwide, achieving the highest global opening of all time.
The monster sequel starring Chris Pratt opened at number one in all 66 of its worldwide markets.
The dinosaur movie managed an impressive $204.6m in the US, giving it the second biggest Hollywood opening in history after The Avengers’ $207.4m in 2012.
These box office takings bode well for any potential sequels and if those sequels do get made. Chris Pratt has revealed that he is contracted to do more Jurassic movies.
