Luke Evens Quits ‘The Crow’ Remake

Evens had made a few comments late last year that he would likely be leaving the project

Luke Evens, who played Dracula in the recent ‘Dracula: Untold’ movies has walked away from the lead in the much talked about remake of ‘The Crow’.

TheWrap reports that the actors representatives have revealed that he has opted to bow out of the Corin Hardy-directed project.

Apparently Evens had made a few comments late last year that he would likely be leaving the project, but official confirmation of his departure was not made until this past weekend on Saturday 24 January.

He joined Relativity Media’s long-gestating reboot of the 1994 action movie back in 2013, when Francisco Javier Gutiérrez was scheduled to direct.

Plans to reboot ‘The Crow’ movie franchise were first revealed by Relativity Media five years ago.

Other actors linked to the project in the past include Alexander Skarsgård, Bradley Cooper, Channing Tatum, James McAvoy and Tom Hiddleston.
