Marvel news is generally slow in the week preceding the San Diego Comic Con. Look to the weekend to learn all things Marvel (and other sci-fi/comic book stuff, too). Still, the little bit of news that has been revealed gives us much to look forward to!

Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.

Marvel is making sure it’s no secret that season 3 of ‘Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.’ will be about the Secret Warriors, with Skye (Chloe Bennet) and Lincoln (Like Mitchell) taking lead in forming the super-powered group. It’s a sure bet that the “secret” issue will line up with the story in ‘Captain America: Civil War.’

Agent Carter

James D’Arcy and Enver Gjokaj, who play Edwin Jarvis and Agent Daniel Sousa, respectively, have signed on as series regulars for season 2 of ‘Agent Carter.’

While Marvel declined to comment, deals for Chad Michael Murray (Agent Jack Thompson), Bridget Regan (Dottie Underwood) and Lyndsy Fonseca (Angie Martinelli) are forthcoming. Hayley Atwell is already slated to return.

Here’s the description of the new season: “Dedicated to the fight against new atomic age threats in the wake of World War II, Peggy must now journey from New York City to Los Angeles for her most dangerous assignment yet. But even as she discovers new friends, a new home — and perhaps even a new love — she’s about to find out that the bright lights of the post-war Hollywood mask a more sinister threat to everyone she is sworn to protect.”

Also, Peggy Carter will be facing off with nemeses from the comics. Showrunners are being tight-lipped about who they will be, but look for lots of Marvel lore to be part of the new season.

Agent Carter is slated to return midseason on ABC.
