May The Verse Be With You presents “A Scarlet Spell”. To help celebrate WandaVision, we went with a poem about Scarlet Witch (Elizabeth Olsen). Who else? Okay, it could have been Vision (Paul Bettany). Be patient . . . Recently we wrote about both characters, in WandaVision: 5 Things To Expect. This week’s poem coincides with the show’s debut, and MCU’s further expansion of its universe.
A Scarlet Spell
Power beneath her skin,
such potent force;
deeply mysterious –
that scarlet source
Reality molded
so easily
by such strong magic makes
a sight to see
and yet another force
is stronger still;
sadly, resulting in
a mind grown ill . . .
What that fate brings we’ll have
to wait and see
likely there’ll be dark spells
cast violently
Perhaps Vision’s visions
may be a dream;
or Wanda’s world falsehood,
not what they seem . . .
With cinemas around the planet still closed, it only adds to the excitement for WandaVision. For now, the small screen will have to do. We can’t wait until we can get back to the cinema. So we can bring you reviews of the many planned MCU projects. Of course, there’ll also be more streaming shows, too. And when that time comes, we’ll be on hand to review those, too. Stay safe, see you next Friday!
