More casting for HBO’s pilot for ‘Westworld’ was announced over the weekend.
Joining this ever growing cast of brilliant actors is Miranda Otto who is perhaps best remembered by genre fans for her role in the ‘Lord Of The Rings’ trilogy.
Otto will play Virginia Pittman, the head of the park’s Quality Assurance department whose brutal honesty with her colleagues and her ruthless efficiency in dealing with malfunctioning “property” have made her a formidable and unpredictable power player in ‘Westworld.’
‘Westworld’ is based on the 1973 Michael Crichton movie of the same name. ‘Westworld‘s’ creative team includes exec producers/writers Jonathan Nolan and Lisa Joy, and exec producers J.J. Abrams, Jerry Weintraub and Bryan Burk.
Otto joins an enviable cast, which includes: Anthony Hopkins, James Marsden, Ed Harris, Evan Rachel Wood, Thandie Newton and Jeffrey Wright.
