NBC voice-over announcement saving Trek & early photos sought by Bjo Trimble

Trek fandom pioneer and First fan Bjo Trimble has put out a call over sub space and needs the Trek communities help in her search for voice-over announcing that Trek was saved as well as early photos of the Trimbles.

Star Trek fans will know Bjo Trimble as one of the driving forces behind the “Save Star Trek” campaign of the 60’s, which is generally credited with having helped the original Trek series to stay on the air for a third season instead of being canceled outright after the second season.

So when Bjo Trimble asks for help with something, no self respecting Trek fan should look the other way. SciFiPulse heard the call to help Bjo as was put out by another Trek legend and great, Doug Drexler for a tape of the NBC voice-over announcement that Star Trek was saved for a third season as well as early Trek photos of the Trimbles.

Here is what Bjo Trimble said recently on social media, “Call out for early Trek photos of the Trimbles; the earlier, the better. Deadline is on top of us, so send scans directly to David Rothman: RothmanD@cbsnews.com We would like to have copies, too. Does anyone have a tape of the NBC voice-over announcement that Star Trek was save for a third season? Please send that to David, as well. Don’t delay. Deadline is next week. Not enough time to turn around! But give it a try if you have old photos or that tape. Thanks.
