While AMC’s much anticipated Walking Dead spin-off, ‘Cobalt’, which is based upon Robert Kirkman’s popular comic series and is set to begin production early in 2015, the entire principle cast is yet to be hired. Even though AMC has recently brought aboard veteran television actress Kim Dickens (Gone Girl), as the female lead in the upcoming zombie show, there are still core cast members needing to be found before principle production can begin.
However, having brought aboard an immensely talented actress such as Kim Dickens to play Nancy Tompkins in the zombie series which is set to take place in the Los Angeles around the same time as The Walking Dead, the production is seemingly already doing well.
The show is also being developed Robert Kirkman, along with show runner Dave Erickson, and Adam Davidson as the horror show’s director. It seems that Dickens character will also be dating the show’s main character named Sean Cabrera, as played by Cliff Curtis. Dicken’s character is a troubled guidance counselor with two children as played by Frank Dillane and Alycia Debnam Carey.
While Walking Dead fans are eagerly waiting for the second half of season five to begin, news of Dickens recent addition to the cast of the upcoming ‘Cobalt’ zombie show will hopefully quench the zombie fan hordes, if only for a little while.
