The ‘Ratchet & Clank’ movie along with the planned reboot of the game for Playstation 4 has been put on hold for now.
Originally on track to launch sometime during 2015, both the movie and reboot won’t be released until spring 2016.
“While you might have to wait a bit longer than expected, rest assured we’re using the time wisely to further polish the game to a spit-shine level, with dazzling shader response, awe-inspiring effects, velvety smooth animations, and spectacular new gameplay segments,” Insomniac Games chief brand officer Ryan Schneider said on the PlayStation Blog.
“Even though the game and film won’t launch for a bit, you’ll see news about them crop up throughout the year. Stay tuned!”
The voice cast for the pending animated movie includes Paul Giamatti as Chairman Drek, John Goodman as Ratchet’s mechanic mentor Grimroth, and Bella Thorne as Galactic Ranger Cora.
It also features Rosario Dawson as Galactic Ranger support team member Elaris and Sylvester Stallone as Victor Von Ion.
