Synopsis: Dutch and Johnny are at odds when Pawter’s plans to free Old Town from Jelco’s control results in Dutch being seized by an angry mob.

Review: This episode opens with Dutch as a captive to a mob led by a former union boss from Westerly. It then flashes back to the events which saw the pacifier wall drop and it is not pretty.

Pawter and Johnny having been pulled out of Old Town make an effort to save it from the pacifier wall, but the two clash over methods when Pawter has to politically radicalise the masses to run at the wall in order to short it out. A lot die before the wall comes down.

Meanwhile D’Avin is dragging Jalco with him on a mission to find a big nasty gun to use to blow up the RAC’s staging area.

After some convincing from Johnny. Dutch reveals what her plan is to the mob leader and he is pretty much forced to back down when Delle Sayah Kendry enters the scene with her guards and holds out a peace treaty, which she gets the Mob Leader and Pawter to sign. The agreement is too good to be true and has deadly consequences as Kendry knives pawter in the gut hitting a major artery.

Pretty much most of this season has been about the RAC having turned over a somewhat nasty leaf. And this episode showed the consequences of that and also showed how dangerous a life in politics can be.

The killing of Pawter while shocking was pretty much expected. Especially given how she has outmanoeuvred Kendry by revealing the RAC’s true plans to the people of Westerly, which triggered an uprising.

There was a ton of action in this episode with some great camera work giving us a first person perspective of some of the gun play as D’Avin does his thing.

Some great performances all round in this episode. Especially from Aaron Ashmore and Sarah Power as the doomed couple, but also a nice scene between Ashmore and Hannah John-Kamen in which Dutch gets kind of sentimental and opens up to Johnny.

The episode ends with the crew getting back to their ship. Only to find Fancy Lee on board. He tells them that they need to go with him to see Khlyen. I look forward to seeing how this plays out in the season 2 finale, which will hit UK television next week.
