Simon Kassianides is to join ‘Agents Of S.H.I.E.L.D.’ when the series returns to ABC in the fall.
The British star who has a previous acting credit in James Bond ‘Quantum Of Solace’ is to play a recurring role in the much loved series, which ended on a plot high thanks to it carrying through events seen within ‘Captain America: The Winter Solidier.’
Kassianides will play “confident” right-hand man Bakshi. While little is known about the character, Deadline reports that he is not afraid to get his hands dirty.
Kassianides will be joined by fellow newcomers Reed Diamond, Nick Blood and Lucy Lawless.
Diamond will play the villainous Daniel Whitehall, Blood has been cast as Lance Hunter, while Lawless will star as a veteran SHIELD agent.
Marvel’s Agents of SHIELD returns on September 23 on ABC in the US. Channel 4 airs the show in the UK.
