Simon Pegg Feels That William Shatner Could Still Play Captain Kirk

William Shatner did not feature in 'Star Trek' or 'Star Trek Into Darkness,' but has been tipped for a role in the third movie.

Simon Pegg, who is a co-writer for the new Trek movie ‘Star Trek: Beyond’ has revealed his thoughts about William Shatner reprising the iconic role of Captain Kirk, which pretty much turned him into a household name.

In his latest interview for Digital Spy to promote his new film ‘Man Up’ Pegg said he had little doubt that William Shatner could play Kirk again.

William Shatner did not feature in ‘Star Trek’ or ‘Star Trek Into Darkness,’ but has been tipped for a role in the third movie.

The actor also dismissed rumors that the new Trek film will be less ‘Star Trek’ than the previous films. If anything it will be more ‘Star Trek’ said the actor.
