Despite the show-runner going off to pastures new and the troubled second season. It looks like Fox are continuing their support for the supernatural series ‘Sleepy Hollow’.
The series ran into difficulties last year when its ratings took a mighty hit, but changes were made during the shows production to try and address some of the issues that fans were having with it.
Fox have picked up the series for 18 new episodes, which will make up the third season.
In a recent interview the shows star Tom Mison said that we’d likely see the series undergo somewhat of a reboot if it returns for a third series. Which suggests that fans should be prepared to see a few new changes coming when the series returns.
One of the first changes will be the Executive Producer, which is a post that will be filled by Clifton Campbell.
Campbell replaces Mark Goffman, who stepped down earlier this month in the wake of Sleepy‘s rocky second season, which saw ratings slide 40 percent versus Season 1.
Before creating A&E’s ‘The Glades,’ Clifton had exec-producer stints ‘White Collar,’ ‘Profiler’ and ‘SeaQuest 2032.’
“I had the pleasure of working with Clifton on both The Glades and White Collar,” noted Fox president David Madden in a statement. “He is an excellent producer, and we can’t wait to see what this team has in store for Season 3.”
Per Fox, Season 3 will explore the evolving partnership between Crane and Mills after the pair scored a decisive victory over evil in the Season 2 finale.
