Sony Continuing Its Pursuit Of Bill Murray For ‘Ghostbusters 3’

"The studio gets really crazy about it," Murray told Variety .

The plans for a third Ghostbusters movie have undergone some pretty drastic changes in recent months.

It has gone from a sequel featuring original cast members shepherding the next generation to a reboot with the main cast members being mostly women.

Armed with these changes to the movies format. Sony Pictures have continued to pursue a reluctant Bill Murray to return to the movie series.

“The studio gets really crazy about it,” Murray told Variety .“What they really want to do is resurrect a franchise.

“The first one was a spectacular movie, one of the greatest movies. The second one was… it had some moves. It had a few good scenes in it.

“People say, ‘Bill, you could get so rich!'” he continued. “I’m OK. I don’t look it, but I’m doing OK.”

The rumours that Paul Feig would direct a reboot about an all-female Ghostbusters team were recently confirmed.

This makes me ask where the hell is that slimer ghost when we truly need it.
