It a whole range of new Lego sets based on ‘Star Wars: The Force Awakens’ isn’t enough for you. Then fear not because once again the force is strong when it comes to ‘Star Wars’ toys and a whole new range of collectible action figures and other toys will be revealed later in the week.
Disney and Lucasfilm are presenting the first-ever global Unboxing Event live on YouTube, beginning next Thursday (September 3).
YouTube will stream the live reveal of a Force Awakens toy range in 15 different cities over an 18-hour period, beginning in Sydney at 7.45am local time (5.45pm ET/10.45pm BST on Wednesday, September 2).
Following the first toy unboxing in Australia, the presentation will move to Europe, South America and Canada, and finally conclude at 8am ET on Thursday, September 3 at Lucasfilm’s San Francisco headquarters.
Each collectible will be unveiled by a popular youtube personality.
Lucasfilm president Kathleen Kennedy announced: “Star Wars toys have always played an important role in how our fans interact with the saga.
“They’ve inspired multiple generations to relive the experience of the movies and to create new adventures all their own. These spectacular Star Wars: The Force Awakens products will continue that tradition.”
All these reveals will lead up to all major retailers opening their stores at midnight so that fans can be the first to get hold of their collectibles before the mad Christmas rush.
