One series that has perhaps not enjoyed the best treatment on British television is ‘Supernatural’.
For years ‘Supernatural’ have been airing on Living here in the UK, which isn’t as well viewed as other Sky Channels such as Sky One or Sky Atlantic or even Watch.
As a result of this UK fans were either downloading the new series off of the web or having to wait six months or longer for Living to show the new series.
Earlier this year fans were saddened to hear that Living had chose not to air the newer seasons of the show, which has a fiercely loyal following here in the UK as well as worldwide. The of course left ‘Supernatural’ without a home here in the UK.
The good news though is another UK channel has swooped in and saved the day.
E4 which is available to everyone has picked up the series and plan to begin airing new episodes January of 2015.
The news was broke over Twitter by Mark Shepperd and later confirmed by #SupernaturalUK and #E4.
The show being picked up by E4 is great news. Not only because it gives UK fans a place to tune in, but its also great news because more people can actually watch E4 than they can Living because E4 is one of the channels on Digital Platforms that is available for all to watch without the need for a subscription.
Supernatural’s 200th episode was recently aired in the US entitled ‘Fan Fiction’, which showrunner Jeremy Carver described as a love letter to fans.
Since starting in 2005, Supernatural‘s ten seasons have been broadcast on The CW and predecessor The WB.
